Did you know that in the US more than half of the population is either overweight or obese -- and that figure keeps growing daily?
These statistics are most alarming as obesity is associated with many chronic diseases including cardiovascular disorders, cancer, heart disease diabetes and others.
In other words obesity is linked to the FATAL 5 diseases including Heart Disease, Cancer, Stroke, Lung Disease and Diabetes. These are all KILLER diseases that can be prevented to a certain extent with proper diet and nutrition.
A lot of us go through life, especially during our youth days and never really think about what we eat. We consume a lot of junk food that only provides satisfaction to our taste-buds, and with little or no nutritional benefit.
Just STOP for a moment -- and think about the long-term effects that your present lifestyle can have on your overall well-being. Many of these illnesses starts early in life, sometime in our teens, but does not show their ugly heads until later.
After these health challenges are diagnosed it's too late for prevention. We can only treat and hope for the best.
By just making some simple changes to your lifestyle, you can add many more quality years to your life. Even if you don't care about yourself, think about your family. Nothing beats living your life in good health.
Now, you can do a simple genetic test that can identify the genes that have a prominent influence on obesity. This is even more important if you think you are at risk through a family trait.
Don't allow procrastination to get the better of you, get a DNA test done and take charge of your life.
